Our Mission

Tightlined’s mission is to support, accelerate and promote efforts to conserve our fisheries and marine resources.  This starts with educating and building awareness around timely issues that are at important inflection points. By leveraging events and the power of community, the Tightlined Conservation Coalition will unite anglers and non-anglers alike in support of individuals, organizations and efforts that are striving to make a difference.

what we do

Established in 2019, The Tightlined Conservation Coalition arranges and runs events, including fishing tournaments, food and conservation gatherings, film tours and speakers, all designed to raise awareness and money for the conservation of our marine resources so that we can enjoy strong fish populations and abundant marine wildlife for generations to come.

The Tightlined slam

The Tightlined Slam is a catch & release, fly and light tackle tournament in the Western Long Island Sound. 2022 will mark the fifth Tightlined Slam in the Western Long Island Sound, as well as the launch of the inaugural tournament in the Eastern Long Island Sound.

In four years, the tournament has raised more than $60,000 for conservation of our fisheries and marine resources, and has supported the American Saltwater Guides Association, Keep Fish Wet, Save a Million Bass and the Marine Fish Conservation Network.
